Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Be Certain mobile application and website at becertainpro.app (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Service Description

Be Certain is an AI-powered probabilistic decision assistant. It allows you to create decision rules with customizable probabilities and uses structured randomness to generate outcomes. The app features voice-first interaction — you describe your decision, and AI processes your input to create rules which are then resolved through randomized rolls. Be Certain supports three types of rules: Binary (yes/no), Value (how much), and Options (pick from a list).

Account & Authentication

To use Be Certain, you must create an account through Firebase Authentication using your email address, Apple ID, or Google account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscription Terms

Be Certain offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription:

Free Tier

• Up to 5 active decision rules
• Limited AI voice processing usage per day
• 7-day roll history

Pro Subscription

• Unlimited active rules
• Unlimited AI voice processing
• Full roll history
• All premium features

Pro subscriptions are available via in-app purchase through the Apple App Store, managed by RevenueCat. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policies

Acceptable Use

When using Be Certain, you agree not to:

• Abuse or exploit the AI voice processing features, including submitting excessively long or nonsensical audio to consume resources
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application
• Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or free tier limitations
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

Intellectual Property

The Be Certain application, including its design, code, graphics, animations, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you create within the app (your rules, roll history, and check-in data).

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Be Certain application without our prior written consent.

Disclaimer

Be Certain is a decision-assistance tool that uses randomized outcomes. Please understand the following:

• Decisions are randomized. Roll outcomes are generated based on the probabilities you set. The app does not make decisions for you — it provides randomized suggestions.
• Not professional advice. Be Certain is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind. Do not rely on the app for financial, medical, legal, or other professional decisions.
• No guarantees. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• AI processing. Voice-to-rule AI processing is provided on a best-effort basis. Transcription and rule generation may not always be perfectly accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Be Certain and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where practical, provide notice through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
